Advantech’s AMiS telemedicine cart is an open platform that can be easily integrated with existing devices and hospital infrastructure. Featuring dual display and multiple video input capabilities, as well as a front-facing camera, AMiS supports virtual applications, such as tele-ICU and teleconsultation, for more comprehensive and patient-centered healthcare delivery.

To ensure safe and reliable operation, Advantech’s AMiS telemedicine cart is certified to strict medical standards and all cables are routed internally for superior infection control and device management. The motorized height adjustment feature increases the convenience of use, and DIN rails support the integration of diverse accessories for intelligent upgrades and customization. The long-lasting LiFePO4 battery delivers stable, high-performance, and cost-efficient power.

Harry Wang, product manager for the AMiS telemedicine cart at Advantech Medical Computing Group said, “Many hospitals are currently integrating telemedicine systems with existing medical carts to serve as mobile telemedicine stations. However, this leads to many challenges related to cable routing, power supply, and application requirements. To address these issues, Advantech developed an open platform aimed at satisfying hospitals’ current and future requirements.”

When integrated with medical devices and connected to the cloud, the AMiS cart acts as a gateway, facilitating various interconnected applications, such as the nursing station dashboard and patient information systems. Medical devices linked to the telemedicine cart can be used to collected patients’ vital sign data, which is then transmitted to the hospital server for storage.

Advantech’s Wise-PaaS platform enables hospital IT and healthcare system integrators to easily connect hospital servers with cloud computing platforms. The introduction of telemedicine and IoT analytics solutions equips care givers with real-time decision support, ensuring the delivery of superior quality healthcare.
