5 Taiwan Indie Developers with Taipei Game Show Land in Casual Connect Asia 2016

As the iconic Asia game exhibit Taipei Game Show rounded off in early February, it has not only reaches record-breaking scale in visitors and exhibitors, but also shaken hand with Casual Connect Asia 2016, promised to bring 5 Taiwan indie game developers to Singapore for the upcoming event held in mid-May.

Taipei Game Show is the one and only game exhibit in Taiwan for both local game enthusiasts and worldwide game professionals. With rising growth of Taiwan game market and influence under globalization, the scale of Taipei Game Show is expanding each year. In this year 5-day event, it attracted over 450 thousands of public visits and 320 exhibitors from 22 countries. As increasing attention is drawn to Taipei Game Show, it has proven its position as the ideal platform for public promotion and game IPs trading in Asia Pacific region.

Being the nominee partner of the prestigious event Casual Connect Asia, Taipei Game Show nominated 5 local games from its Indie Game Award in B2B Zone & Indie Game Festa. The teams include Gelly Bomb Games, CUTKEY Studio, Uwan, Nice Market Games and Raysol Games. These developers are to showcase their innovation in Casual Connect Asia held from May 17 to 19 in Hard Rock Hotel, Singapore.

Gelly Bomb Games

The award-winning team specializes in VR/AR games mixed with intriguing storyline. Its mystery escape AR game “Eleanor of Ayer” not only won Best AR Experience in Vision Summit 2016 VR/AR but also made it to the finalist of IndieCade 2015.

CUTKEY Studio

“Rune Rebirth” is an old-school fantasy RPG mobile game for single player. The featuring freestyle real-time combat mode and adventurous storyline are what make it unique. Iit is hard to believe such completion and aesthetics of the game is created by a two-man team.

Uwan

Having over 10-year experience in mobile game, the team plans on a closed beta for its soon-to-release strategic game “Lightning Raiders” in Casual Connect Asia. This 2D vertical shooting game is expected to make another hit after its debut game “Lightning Fighters” that attracted millions of downloads.

Nice Market Games

Focusing on casual games in sports, Nice Market Games recently launch its sequel game “Basketball Gangs 2”. It is a 3x3 full court game with real-time gameplay by touch controls. Features include different game modes, daily challenges, social network connection, and players’ skill enhancement among others.

Raysol Games

A one-man team devoted to creating stunning and entertaining games on multi-platform. “Dungeon Balls” is a Japanese-style RPG game inspired by pachinko. The game control makes it easy to play, yet it also requires players’ wit to win the game and help protagonists rebuild their homeland.

The organizer of Taipei Game Show, Taipei Computer Association has committed to facilitating local game industry with international affairs for decades. In addition to bringing Taiwan indie game developers to worldwide game exhibits like Casual Connect Asia, Taipei Computer Association also allies with global organization such as G2A.com (Poland), Korea Mobile Game Association (Korea), Game Solution Centre (Singapore), and etc. In doing so, it is hoped to fulfill the vision of connecting the whole world with game industry.
