TPV: Shortage of LCD TV Panels to Continue Until the H1 of Next Year

TAIPEI, Taiwan - TPV Technology Limited, an internationally-renowned PC monitor and TV manufacturer, said that the shortage of TV and monitor panels may continue until the first half of next year, and to back to normal level in the second half of next year.

TPV is the world's largest LCD TV and monitor OEM company, and has its own TV brand “AOC”. The company’s COO Wang Bi-lu said that the price of LCD TV panels is raising recently due to the shortage of TV panels, and the circumstance was expected to continue until the first half of next year.
Wang also pointed that the 4K TV has jumped into the mainstream, whose global market share was estimated to reach 30% this year. In which, the United States will be the fastest growing market where the market share of 4K TV was forecasted about 39%.
