DuPont to Showcase Advanced Wearable Electronics at the Wearable Expo Japan

DuPont Advanced Materials (DuPont) will feature its innovative suite of stretchable electronic inks for wearable electronics and showcase a number of industry collaborations at the upcoming Wearable Expo Japan.
With IOT (Internet of Things) penetrating both our workplace and life at home, DuPont bringd electrical printing solutions to enable the digitization of textiles and more.
“DuPont has accumulated strong industry knowledge and networking from both the textile and electronics value chain. This enables us to connect key companies from different parts of both industries to work together to make ideas become reality and shorten the time to market,” said Gordon Tseng, regional business development manager, Asia Pacific, DuPont Advanced Materials.
“Our manufacturing-ready solution is a critical step for the wearable industry to grow.”
Through integration efforts by DuPont, five pioneers from the industry value chain include R&D organization, Holst Centre, printing manufacture, GM Nameplate and apparel tech manufacturer, MAS Holdings, then innovative brands, FeetMe and Body+ will jointly exhibit various advanced wearables applications that use DuPont stretchable electronics inks in garments, insoles and other novel applications at the upcoming Wearable Expo.
“Sports and safety are two segments with high growth potential. The function of smart clothing ranges from vital signal collection such as heart rate, breathing activities and body temperature, athlete training and rehabilitation by real time feedback, as well as illuminated and heated garment for high risk working environments.” said Tseng.
