Immersion Experience Technology Becoming a Key PC Function

TAIPEI, Taiwan - At this year's Computex exhibition, new immersion experience technology product showcases can be seen everywhere, including virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality. This signifies that related components, software, and content will gradually follow suit and that immersion experience technologies will become one of the most important PC functions within a few years.

As the first Taiwanese company to invest in immersion reality products, at Computex 2017 HTC occupies an independent showcase area where the HTC Vive product utilizes virtual reality technology to provide users with a more complete and in-depth VR experience.
In addition to embracing VR technologies on gaming PCs, Taiwanese brand company Asus is promoting AR technologies on their smartphones. At this year's Computex exhibition large numbers of ZenFone AR platforms are on display, and it is the first kind of smartphone to simultaneously support Tango augmented reality and Daydram virtual reality. The Zenphone AR can combine virtual objects with real-life scenes and implement 3D interactive experiences with TelePresense.
Acer has chosen to collaborate with Microsoft to invest in the development of MR products, and they are showcasing a a head-mounted display which uses the Windows Holographic platform. This platform utilizes an HDMI and USB dual connection port for use on normal value notebooks and desktop computers, and it renders especially high-end performance unnecessary. In addition, Acer is also showcasing the Star VR platform in cooperation with Starbreeze.
