This innovative technology can be applied to these chip applications of Internet of Things (IoT), automotive devices, mobile devices, and artificial intelligence (AI). And, it has been adopted by a well-established CPU/processor company with the designs in mass production. It also could be adopted by other SoC companies worldwide to quickly improve their chip performance.
" The award-winning innovation, M31 MetrisTM series, is a solution used to optimize high-speed SoC designs, especially those for mobile device CPU applications, which require both operating speed and efficiency of the flow.” Willis Shih, vice president of M31 Technology said.
“To meet the design challenge of these requirements, most customers follow the traditional routes of customization, which consumes a lot of manpower and resources, but may not be able to achieve the best results. With a unique set of numerical algorithms, the innovative M31's MetrisTM will analyze the timing critical paths of the CPU circuits, and yield optimal specifications of cell libraries. Then the MetrisTM will intelligently generate a set of most optimized libraries and produce process compliant layout and timing model with an automatic flow. This methodology is flawlessly integrated into existing design flows and it would help SoC designers to effectively and efficiently implement their designs for those high performance products."
M31 Technology has experienced in many success of high-speed circuit development, specially, in these advanced process nodes (40nm / 28nm / 16nm). M31 provides sets of dynamic high-speed cell libraries, high-speed embedded memories, and supports of most effective and efficient design flows, for high-speed designs, such as CPUs, GPUs, MCUs and DSPs. Therefore, it helps customers to shorten the time of development and to enhance the performance of designs.
M31 Technology established in 2011 and headquartered in Taiyuan Science and Technology Park in Hsinchu, Taiwan. Its business focuses in providing Silicon IP (SIP) and IC design services. Its income are from the SIP licenses and the royalty of chip mass production. M31 started with an investment capital of NT$286 million in 2011, and has officially entered Taiwan's emerging stock market in September, 2017. From January to September 2017, the year-to-date revenue was NT$422 million, and the year-to-year growth rate of revenue was 23.27% in comparison to the same period of last year.
