Vangochip Technology Delivers Wi-SUN Certified Sub-GHz RF Platform
Published: Nov 29,2017HSINCHU, Taiwan - Vangochip Technology today announced its first-gen sub-GHz RF family VC7000 passed the Wi-SUN Alliance PHY Certification.
Wi-SUN Alliance PHY Certification Program includes: PHY Conformance Testing based on IEEE 802.15.4g; PHY Interoperability Testing of Smart Utility Network systems based on IEEE 802.15.4g between multiple silicon vendors.
The certification signifies Vangochip’s VC7000 family is formally tested and validated to have seamless interoperability and conformity to the industry-agreed IEEE 802.15.4g standards.
VC7000 low power sub-GHz RF transceiver features a very wide range of RF bands from 169 to 960MHz. State-of-the-art sensitivity and selectivity with block-resilient IIP3 of -10dBm make it an ideal solution for robust smart utility networks. Adjacent channel rejection can achieve better than 40dB even at data rate > 50kbps. With a dual power amplifier of +20/+13dBm and T/R switch integrated, RBOM is greatly reduced.
VC7000 family is developed for battery-powered systems with fast wake-up and built-in false wake-up detection algorithm. Varieties of power-saving modes are introduced to reflect characteristics of IoT networks and reduce power consumption at system level.
VC7300 of the family is a SoC integrating a Cortex M0 CPU and VC7000 with embedded flash and RAM for mission specific applications. Mesh network software stack is provided as part of the ready-to-use IoT radio solution to extend coverage while tight integration of hardware and software enhances system performance at different communication layers.
