Infinity Technology Services Limited Now Provides Up To 220 Gbps Through LiFi

Published: Jan 31,2019

Infinity Technology Services Limited is a Hong Kong company that was formed in 2015; the company provides breakthrough LiFi technology by which data is sent through light as opposed to wireless transmission.

Infinity Technology Services Limited recently announced a new product titled Infinity LiFi X in which it allows a wireless connectivity solution. The issue with crowded offices trying to work online, it is not always easy to support a high number of Internet users over a single wireless connection.

“We have created Infinity LiFi X transmitters which can be installed through lighting products such as lamps, ceiling lighting, etc, providing a stable connection up to 220Gbps for up to 100 people simultaneously.“ commented Mr. Chang Huang who is the Chief Executive Officer at Infinity Technology Services Limited.

With LiFi receivers one Infinity LiFi X bulb can transmit data via invisible light over a 50 square meter space, ideal for small conference rooms or offices.

Infinity Technology Services Limited states that because radio waves are not utilized with its solution, it may be used safely within hospitals; more lights can be added for a larger area.

LiFi connections are more secure when compared to Wi-Fi connections since light waves travel for only a short distance. For users who handle sensitive data such as government offices LiFi is a very practical solution.

“No matter what way you look at it, LiFi is an inspiring solution, and many investors will be keeping a close eye on how this technology can translate for residential use.” Commented Mr. Frank Zhu, Head of Investor Relations at Infinity Technology Services Limited.

It will take a while for LiFi to achieve a broad adoption over Wi-Fi, with the costing differences and limited range in its current form.

It will be interesting to see if Infinity Technology Services Limited and how the technology will develop over time.
