Siemens Energy and Tatung Cooperate on Wind Power Devices

TAIPEI, Taiwan - Siemens Energy AG cooperated with Tatung company to manufacture the wind power gas insulated switchgear which will contribute to the sustainable development of the environment.

The two companies will combine GIS gas insulated switchgear of Siemens Energy and the operating interface of Tatung company. The total devices will be assembled and tested by the Tatung company in Taiwan.
Taiwan is actively promoting energy transformation. The offshore wind power generation is planned to reach 5.6 GW in 2025, and the major policy goal of develop a capacity of 1.5 GW per year between 2026 and 2035. In wind power applications, including offshore and onshore, self-generated and grid-connected, insulating switchgear used in power transmission plays a key role.
