Holtek announced the release of two new Li-Battery management MCUs, the HT32F61730 and HT32F61741. Compared with the second generation HT32F61630 and HT32F61641 devices...

HOLTEK New HT45R6Q-2/HT45R6Q-3 Battery Charger OTP MCU

Holtek has further expanded its range of battery charger OTP MCUs with the present release of two new devices, the HT45R6Q-2 and HT45R6Q-3...

These new devices have all the features of the Holtek new Enhanced Flash MCUs and which also now include more than one hundred extended instructions to permit direct access of data from any Data Memory bank. Combined with Holtek’s optimized C language compiler, users now have the ability to produce more flexible and efficient code. The device range is suitable for applications such as household appliances, instrumentation products, industrial control, health products, exercise equipment etc.

With regard to actual specific functions, these new devices include 16K / 32K words of Flash Program Memory, 1024 / 2048 bytes of Data Memory, 128 bytes of Data EEPROM and 16 stack levels. As for peripheral functions, the devices contain up to a 224 pixel R-type and C-type LCD driver to support applications which require an LCD display.

The internal 12-bit high speed analog to digital converter is on hand to measure external environmental signals from sensors such as temperature, humidity etc. An internal comparator and two independent SPI and SPI / I2C interfaces are also included while the whole series use Holtek’s new Timer Modules offering five different timer operating modes, namely Capture Input, Compare Match Output, Timer/Event, Single Pulse Output and PWM.

By also including Holtek’s In-Application program technology, users have a convenient means with which to directly store their measured data in the Flash Program Memory and as well as having the ability to update their application programs. These features combine to offer a device series that can implement a full MCU system with a minimum of external components.

Holtek also fully supports these devices with its comprehensive hardware and software development tools. Known as the HT-IDE3000, these development tools provide features such as real time emulation, memory and register access, hardware breakpoints complete with logical setups, full trace analysis etc. This range of development tools ensure that designers have all the resources at hand to provide for rapid and efficient design and debug of their microcontroller based new product applications.
