HOLTEK New HT32F61730/741 Li-Battery Management MCUs
Holtek announced the release of two new Li-Battery management MCUs, the HT32F61730 and HT32F61741. Compared with the second generation HT32F61630 and HT32F61641 devices...
HOLTEK New HT45R6Q-2/HT45R6Q-3 Battery Charger OTP MCU
Holtek has further expanded its range of battery charger OTP MCUs with the present release of two new devices, the HT45R6Q-2 and HT45R6Q-3...
As a special feature, the embedded 12-bit A/D converter in the HT66F002/003 devices can select a bandgap voltage generator as its reference voltage, which means that an accurate and stable reference voltage is available for the 12-bit A/D when operating under conditions of different voltage and temperature.
This feature makes these devices suitable for use in battery applications. In addition, the excellent ESD/EFT protection features ensures the devices are also suitable for use in AC power supply based application environments.
These new devices have a Flash Program Memory capacity of 1K x 14, 64 bytes of SRAM Data Memory and 32 bytes of Data EEPROM. Their internal EEPROM memory can be used to store data such as product parameters or manufacturing data, which will be retained even if power is removed.
This ability to store non-volatile data greatly enhances product flexibility. Some of the other special characteristics of these devices can be seen in its operating voltage of 2.2V~5.5V, high speed multi-channel 12-bit Analog to Digital Converter and up to 14 multi-function I/O pins etc.
The devices include one or two of Holtek’s new multi-function Timer Modules that are capable of providing functions such as Compare Match Output, Capture Input, Timer/Event Counting, Single Pulse Generation and PWM signal generation. Good oscillator flexibility is provided by the provision of two oscillators, an internal high frequency RC type and an internal low frequency 32kHz RC type.
The high frequency internal RC oscillator has a fixed 8MHz frequency with an accuracy of ±2% under constant temperature and constant voltage conditions.
All of these new devices meet with industrial specifications (-40°C~85°C) and have high noise immunity as well as Watchdog and LVR protection features that give excellent immunity against malfunction or erroneous operation.
To support the new devices, Holtek naturally supplies a full suite of excellent hardware and software development tools including its HT-IDE300 software as well as a hardware In-Circuit-Emulator. The hardware emulator is an e-Link which when used together with OCDS structured MCUs, can provide a full range of debug functions such as trace analysis features etc.
With regard to device programming the Holtek provided e-WriterPro programmer is also capable of implementing full In-Circuit Programming to allow for fast program updates and product development. There are also a range of application guides to ensure developers have their designs up and running in the shortest time possible.
The HT66F002 and HT68F002 are supplied in 8-pin SOP and 10-pin MSOP package types while the HT66F003 and HT68F003 devices are supplied in 16-pin NSOP package types. These extremely small package outlines make them especially suitable for household appliances and other products where space is at a premium.
