The device meets with full industrial specification operating temperature requirements of -40°C ~ 85°C as well as possessing excellent noise immunity characteristics. Regarding its RF capabilities, the RF transmitter uses ASK modulation in the 300MHz ~ 450MHz RF transmission frequency range with data rates of higher than 10Kbps.

With a 3.5V operating voltage, the transmission power can reach a maximum safety specified level of 10dBm. By including a data tracking function, transmission is implemented only when data is being sent out without requiring additional MCU control, resulting in extremely low system power consumption.

The device includes a fully integrated 8MHz RC oscillator for MCU system operation. The RF transmission frequency is determined by an external crystal oscillator. Additional device special features include its small package outline and easy to use functions.

With only a few external passive components required to implement a full RF transmitter application solution, this low cost, small package, high efficiency wireless MCU device will find excellent use in a huge range of wireless applications.

As one would expect, Holtek of course supplies a full suite of hardware and software development tools. Known as the HT-IDE3000, this development system includes real time emulation with its In-Circuit-Emulator, full trace analysis functions, breakpoint functions etc. With Holtek’s RF engineering support team ready to provide customer technology support, users are assured of having their wireless designs up and running in as short a time as possible.
