The devices can operate with an input voltage range of 4.5V~52V and have an output accuracy up to ±2%. By using a fully integrated low impedance switching power transistor, the devices can obtain efficiency ratings of up to 90%.

Another advantage is in their ultra-low standby current of only 0.1μA. A complete range of protection mechanisms are provided which include a power-on soft start function, input under voltage lock-out protection, over current protection, over temperature protection and output short circuit protection, features which combine to ensure reliable and safe operation.

The HT7463A, with its higher 1.25 MHz switching frequency, allows the use of smaller inductor values, while the HT7463B, with its 550 KHz switching frequency, is suitable for higher voltage conversion applications, such as 48V to 5V conversions.

With a high input voltage of up to 52V, an output current of up to 600mA and high switching frequency characteristics, the devices can meet the needs of smart meters and industrial applications. The 52V high-voltage enable pin does not require external Zener diodes, further reducing system costs.

The special output short circuit protection circuitry effectively protect the devices from overheating in the event of an output short circuit malfunction, greatly increasing device reliability.

The devices are available in SOT23-6 package types, making them suitable for smart meters, electric vehicles, electric tools as well as a host of other applications.
