Holtek announced the release of its new 32-bit Pulse Oximeter MCU, the HT32F59045. The device uses an Arm® Cortex®-M0+...

Its internal LED/LCD drivers support 4 segments with current output control which are able to drive LED/LCD displays directly without requiring additional external current-limiting resistors or transistors. With fewer external component requirements and the resulting cost reductions, the device will find excellent use in products such as household appliances and other areas such as vehicle instrumentation displays which require an LED/LCD display.

This new device has a Flash Program Memory capacity of 4K words, an SRAM Data Memory capacity of 256 bytes, an EEPROM of 64 bytes and an 8 level stack. As for peripheral functions, this device contains multifunctional Timer Modules, a 12-bit ADC, comparators, external interrupts, SPI, I2C and UART interfaces, internal and external high accuracy oscillators, up to 46 I/O ports etc.

In addition to operating independently, the device can use its communication interfaces to work together with other master devices as part of an overall system. With this wide range of integrated and versatile functions, users have a range of devices with which to easily develop their household appliances and vehicle meter panel products.

Holtek also fully supports these devices with its comprehensive hardware and software development tools. One of these tools is the e-Link, which is a new generation OCDS (On Chip Debug Support) structure in-circuit debug adapter. When used together with the HT-IDE3000 software development system, users are provided with a suite of development tools to directly debug their application boards which includes trace analysis features.

Holtek’s e-WriterPro is a writer which supports ICP (In-Circuit Programming) to provide a means of easy program updates and development. Holtek also offers a range of application guides to ensure developers have their designs up and running in the shortest time possible.
