Holtek wishes to reveal the release of its new 1.8V~5.5V low voltage A/D type Flash devices, the HT66F317/318/319 series. With the special characteristic of a low 1.8V operating voltage and high-speed 16MHz at 3.3V operation, these new devices will find excellent use in battery powered applications or consumer electronic products which have incorporate an LED/LCD display, such as electric toothbrushes, electric shavers, remote controllers and others.

This series of devices meets with industrial specification requirements of -40°C ~85°C operating temperature and have high noise immunity as well as including an immense range of system resources. The devices have a Flash Program Memory capacity of 2K/4K/8K words, an SRAM Data Memory capacity of 128/192/256 bytes, an EEPROM Data Memory capacity of 64 bytes and an 8-level stack.

As for peripheral functions, the devices contain a 12-bit A/D converter, comparators, LED/LCD drivers, multifunctional Timer Modules, external interrupts, I2C and UART interfaces. With an integrated reference voltage generator, the A/D converter can be internally provided with an accurate reference voltage even under conditions of different operating voltages and temperatures. These devices also include up to 26 I/O pins.

In addition, their internal LED/LCD drivers support 4 segments with current output control which can drive LED/LCD displays directly without requiring additional external current-limiting resistors or transistors. These features combine to extensively reduce the need for external components and result in reduced cost. The devices include four oscillator options, the system frequency of which can be selected according to the user’s application requirements.

Holtek also fully supports these devices with its comprehensive hardware and software development tools. One of these tools is the e-Link, which is a new generation OCDS (On Chip Debug Support) structure in-circuit debug adapter. When used together with the HT-IDE3000 software development system, users are provided with a suite of fully functional development tools to directly debug their application designs.

Holtek’s e-Writer Pro is a writer which supports ICP (In-Circuit Programming) to provide a means of easy program updates and development. Holtek also offers a range of application guides to ensure developers have their designs up and running in the shortest time possible.
