In addition its internal LED/LCD driver supports 4 levels of current output control to directly drive LED/LCD displays without requiring external current-limiting resistors or transistors. With few external component requirements and the resulting cost reductions, the device will find excellent use in LED/LCD display products.

The new device has a Flash Program Memory capacity of 4K words, an SRAM Data Memory capacity of 1K bytes, an EEPROM of 4K bytes and an 8-level stack. With regard to peripheral functions, the device contains multifunctional Timer Modules, a 12-bit A/D converter, comparators, external interrupts, SPI, I2C and UART interfaces. The UART interface can operate with the internal high accuracy oscillator.

The device not only operates independently but also can work together with other master devices as part of an overall system by using its communication interfaces. With its high level of functional integration and versatile functions, users can easily develop their small household appliance and security products.
