Holtek announced the release of a new addition to its small package A/D Flash type range, the HT66F0025, forming an extension product to the HT66F002 device. Compared with the HT66F002, this new device has a Flash Memory capacity of 2K words and 4-level stack. Holtek recommends users to use the HT66F0025 instead of the HT6xF002 to develop new applications which require a larger Flash program memory capacity.

As a special feature, the embedded 12-bit A/D converter in the HT66F0025 device can select a bandgap voltage generator as its reference voltage, which means that an accurate and stable reference voltage is available for the 12-bit A/D when operating under conditions of different voltage and temperature. This feature makes this device suitable for use in battery powered applications.

The HT66F0025 is supplied in 8-pin and 10-pin SOP package types which are fully pin-compatible with the HT6xF002 and HT66F007, whose package types are supplied in 8-pin DIP and 8-pin SOP. These extremely small package outlines make them especially suitable for household appliances where space is at a premium.
