The device uses two power wires on the system to implement power regulation and data transmission and reception with the master, which only need a few external components. The system data transmission format can be customized. The transmission function can reach a distance more than 1 kilometer and a bit rate of up to 25kHz.

The device has a high operating voltage range of 7V~42V, and an internal RC oscillator with high speed and high accuracy, which can improve the stability of data transmission over a long distance. With regards to memory, the device has a Flash Program Memory capacity of 2K×16 bits, an SRAM data memory capacity of 96 bytes and an EEPROM Data Memory capacity of 32 bytes.

Other features include 12-bit A/D Converter and multiple input/output pins, which can implement groups of IR LED transmission and reception function simultaneously. The device is supplied in 20-pin SSOP Package type
