These second generation devices, in addition to retaining the excellent characteristics of the original analog front-end circuit, now offer even better performance for the current to voltage amplifier, A/D converter and VREF functions.

Additionally a new earphone jack interface is included which can be used for data communication with mobile phones. The combination of these new and enhanced functions makes these new devices even more suitable for Blood Glucose Meter applications.

With regards to packaging, the BH66F2470, which is an I/O type MCU, is supplied in a 48-pin LQFP package type. The BH67F2470 is an LCD type MCU, which also includes a voltage regulator dedicated for the LCD function, is supplied in both 64-pin and 80-pin LQFP package types.

With the above range of functions and features, this new range of application specific MCUs will be further able to meet the needs of different Blood Glucose Meter types.
