The device includes a fully integrated 12-bit A/D converter, which can be used for functions such as battery capacity detection, battery charging management, battery temperature monitoring and adaptor voltage detection, etc. Two sets of hardware over-current protection functions are provided with one set being used for the smaller floor-brush motor stall and over-current protection and the other set being used for the larger suction motor stall and over-current protection.

These protection functions are also used for battery charging over-current protection. Also included are two 10-bit Timer Modules, one of which is used for the floor-brush motor control while the other is used for control of the suction motor.

The device is supplied in both 16-pin NSOP and 20-pin SSOP package types.
