“Taiwan 4G spectrum was seized by five telecommunicatons providers, since every of which will do their best to be No.1 so that the three existing 3G giants, Chunghwa Telecom Co., Taiwan Mobile Co, and Far EasTone Telecommunications Co. are still best positioned in terms of future 4G infrastructure and their basis from now. Other providers maybe will cooperate with one another by exchanging spectrum.” Lee indicated.

Lee said that how those telecommunication providers started the infrastructure of 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE), is a good beginning for all the networking companies and there's a chance for them to have WiFi equipment renewed.

Lee also gave positive response towards the integration between WiFi and 4G, and in order to provide extra in-door WiFi coverage the micro-cell base stations will be used more. However, he is convinced that 4G-related products will be a good business, and mostly started to be seen from third quarter of 2014.

Regarding to the 4G development in the world, Lee pointed out that many countries have finally entered 4G era, however, LTE and 4G-related products' shipment will be increased in the third and fouth quarter especially in Europe and Emerging Market this year

Lee emphasized that 4G-related products will still lower than 10 percent this year but the 4G products' price will rise and the breadwinning product of which is IP-STB (Set-Top Box), including orders of Microsoft and Android platforms.
