HP, Dell and Sony Accounted for 50% of Taiwan's Foreign Purchase

(Taipei, Taiwan) According to MIC survey that foreign purchases in Taiwan in 2013 amounted to approximately USD$ 91.7 billion, Hewlett-Packard, Dell and Sony ranked the top three, total purchase amount up to about USD$ 45 billion almost 50% of total foreign purchases.

The amount of foreign purchases of Taiwan in recent years has maintained growth, but the purchase amount this year was identical to last year at USD$ 91.7 billion. HP, Dell, Qualcomm, Lenovo , Broadcom ranked for the top five, total purchases amount was USD$ 45.5 billion, and was elected as“Market Development Partners”of Taiwan.

Economy Minister Zhang Zhu said that facing the challenges of the post-PC era, Taiwan, in addition to continuing to build an attractive investment environment, but also focuses on promoting the long-term partnerships with foreign investors to jointly develop the industry chain cooperation.
