Taiwan 4G Base Station Procurement Bidding Raises

[Taipei, Taiwan] Taiwan 4G equipment procurement business is heating up. After Chunghwa Telecom proposed its bidding project of 4G base station procurement, Taiwan Mobile and Far EasTone will also launch their bidding project end of this year ,the the total procurement of 4G Base Station of three companies estimated more than 20,000 units, over NTD$ 20 billion.

Analysts forecast, Ericsson and Nokia, two foreign companies ,will be the biggest winner in the 4G base station procurement, Taiwan's HwaCom Systems and Syscom are also expected to gain a foothold.

So far, the 4G base station tenders of three companies entered the final stage, Chunghwa Telecom has announced, the procurement amount of 4G core network and base station is up to NTD$ 6.259 billion, Ericsson won the core network and northern base stations, Nokia won Southern.
