Chunghwa Telecom Invited to MWC For The First Time

Taipei , Taiwan - Mobile World Congress (MWC) coming this month from 24 to 27, hold in Barcelona, Spain , the organizers invited Taiwan Telecom carrier Chunghwa Telecom to demonstrate mobile payment application, and this is the first time for Taiwan Telecom industry.

MWC is the world's most important annual exhibition of mobile communications, global communications technology trial balloon, stage for mobile phone brands to show their new product, estimated about 1,700 exhibitors this year.

This year the theme Pavilion invited international telecommunications plant, including Vodafone, AT & T, Korea Telecom, KT and Taiwan Chunghwa Telecom.

Chunghwa Telecom was invited to show their NFC mobile payment technology, include electronic wallet , access cards and other applications. Chunghwa Telecom has already alliance with Japan NTT DoCoMo, Hong Kong PCCW mobile for roaming agreements and the opening of cross-border mobile payment services , offers Japanese tourists to Taiwan or Hong Kong can pay MRT with NFC phones, so does Taiwanese travelers to Japan and Hong Kong.

As the cross-border mobile payment services , Chunghwa Telecom, DoCoMo and PCCW mobile has signed for roaming services, it is the world's first cross-border mobile payment, is as one of the major highlights of this MWC 2014.

For demonstration, Chunghwa Telecom will use HTC phones at the MWC, by an international stage show in Taiwan brand mobile phone R & D capabilities.
