SAP Appoints Janice Lai as the Head of Taiwan

TAIPEI, Taiwan — SAP announced today that it has appointed Ms. Janice Lai as General Manager of SAP Taiwan. Mr. Gary Wu, formerly General Manager of SAP Taiwan, has been appointed the Head of Financial Services Greater China. Both appointments are effective immediately.

“Greater China is one of the fastest growing markets in the world, and financial services is a strategic industry for SAP in Greater China and globally,” said Mark Gibbs, President of SAP Greater China. “To enhance SAP's engagement with its customers from the financial services industry, we have appointed Gary Wu, who has over 20 years of industry experience, as the Head of Financial Services Greater China to capitalize on the immense opportunities in this industry.”

To further strengthen SAP's management team in Greater China, SAP has appointed Ms. Janice Lai as the General Manager of SAP Taiwan. In this position, Ms. Lai will have end-to-end responsibility for the SAP Taiwan business. Ms. Lai is a seasoned business executive with over 20 years of IT industry experience that spans a broad spectrum of functions.

She was most recently the Regional Sales Manager for Dell, where she was responsible for the commercial business in Taiwan, including organization strategy and sales operation. By leading a strong sales organization, Ms. Lai successfully promoted Dell's presence and leadership in end-to-end solutions, ensuring a strong and consistent Dell brand experience among commercial customers in Taiwan.

Mark Gibbs, the President of SAP Greater China, emphasized, “I am excited to have Janice join our leadership team to elevate our Taiwan business to new heights.”
