Taiwanese Smartphone Users Positive for Mobile Shopping

TAIPEI, Taiwan-According to new research from The Innovative DigiTech-Enabled Applications & Services Institute (IDEAS) at the Institute for Information Industry (III), until the end of March, 2014, Taiwan’s internet users on smartphone not only follow and update information on Facebook every day, but 50% of all users pay close attention to LINE and 65% of all have positive attitude towards mobile shopping.

IDEAS conducts an online research of “Technological innovation power” aiming at 14 service sectors, 1000 brand service companies and 10,000 customers and finds out that top-10 brand companies have moved cross to new market for the first time including catering, dressing, dwelling, transportation, education and entertainment in order to respond the changing customers’ behavior.

Moreover, all service sectors started to apply for new digital technology and the e-commerence, global hotels, hosing agency, high-speed transportation, Western-style fast food and coffee shop chains grew most noticeably among them.

III pointed out that Taiwan’s service industry could create interactive experience of touch-screen, through integrating physical with virtual paths by strategical Omni-channel service and raising the service quality as well as brand value by cross-carrier and social media, to grasp the profit model of new styled services.
