TAIPEI, Taiwan— Renee James, president of Intel, said in a keynote at the COMPUTEX 2014, that the main roadmap of Intel during 2014-2040 is the development of smartphones, tablets, wearable devices and Internet of things, and expect to continue to cooperate with Taiwan supply chain.

Renee said that the evolution of computer technology is actually a trip journey, although many people questioned PC will not exist, but the fact that PC evolving. She also stressed that the development of the IT industry is not slowing down, and Taiwan will continue to play an important role.
She said that Intel and Taiwan companies had created many milestones, expect to cooperate in smartphone、ultrathin 2-in-1 device、smart clothes、smart buildings and other integrated application in the future.
Renee James also introduced the fifth generation Intel Core M processor, which uses the new 14 nm process Broadwell architecture, performance improvement of 20% to 40%, size reduced by half compared to the previous generation, can accelerate the ultrathin laptops thinner and lighter and development of 2-in-1 device. Including ASUS, Foxconn, Acer and others companies will launch series of products using the new processor late this year.
