TAIPEI, Taiwan — Generally speaking, the R&D ability of China's handset firms fall behind to Japan, America, and South Korea, but with the back up of Taiwanese components firms that help Xiaomi to beat up Samsung in China. The SoC chipset from MediaTek, OEM/ODM of Foxconn, and optical lens from Largan Precision Co. are all the anonymous heros that back up Xiaomi.

Xiaomi has merely established four years, which has surpassed Samsung in terms of the market share in China in the quarter two. At the same time, top ten of smartphones in China, eight of which are Chinese brands.

The canalys forcasted that the shipment of Xiaomi in China in the quarter two increased 240 percent to 15 million units year on year, and the market share has jumped from 5 percent to 13.8 percent, first time surpassed Samsung to become the No.1 in China, also ranked the top five worldwide.
