MediaTek Becomes the Supplier of Cube T7

TAIPEI, Taiwan — More and more tablets are powered by MediaTek's 64-bit octa-core processor, the latest Cube T7 is no exception, which also offers LTE and relies on the MediaTek MT8752 for the processing needs. This is a new chipset, that's supposed to be a tablet version of the MT6752, that was found on smartphones.

According to MediaTek, the chip runs at 2 GHz and there's also support for GPS, Glonass, 15 network frequencies, dual band WiFi, Bluetooth and H.256 video. Cube T7 also integrated here a 7 inch JDI 1920 x 1200 pixel display, 16 GB of storage and 2 GB of RAM.

The battery of Cube T7 is a 3500 mAh unit and also get a dual camera, Android 4.4.2 KitKat and a 9.3 mm thick chassis. Cube T7 will debut in China via JingDong Mail, priced at merely $162.

However, the Cube T7 will also get an international launch and will enter preorder next month. There will also be a bigger unit, with a 9.7-inch that will be announced in the future.
