Hon Hai is optimistic about Indonesia’s strength of local development and decides to set up a factory leading a supply chain in the largest economy in Southest Asia.
This February, Terry Gou signed IoI (Investment of Intend) with Joko Widodo, the presidential candidate for the Indonesia, with a common consensus that Hon Hai will invest at least 10 billion in the coming 3-5 years and Jakarta city authorities commit a investment land in State-owned Export Processing Zone in Marunda to building Hon Hai’s factory.
On the initial stage of the Indonesian investment project, it aims at the field of Information Communication Technology such as cellphone, panel and television and the future development will be in the Telecommunication services.
