Foxconn Invites Media to see the Xiaomi Mi 4 Langfang factory in Hebei, China
TAIPEI, Taiwan — The Chinese handset giant Xiaomi held its Xiaomi Mi 4 Media Day in Langfang factory in Hebei, China under the permission of Foxconn Chairperson Terry Gou, invited 30 media to visit the production line.

Xiaomi announced on their weibo official account
, saying that Xiaomi Mi 4 has reached its productivity goal by manufacturing a million units in the first two months. Currently, the average manpower of assembling a Xiaomi Mi 4 is 130 men, the monthly productivity has gradually reached out the 1.8 million units.
On the other hand, on the Xiaomi weibo official account can see a lot of photos taken showing media paid a visit in the Xiaomi factory. Source said that it is the first time Foxconn allowed ousiders to see its production line, and was approved by Terry Gou.
At the Langfang factory, where Foxconn dealt with orders from Apple, Xiaomi, and Meizu, creating 70 thousand jobs in here.
According to Xiaomi, since 2012 the Foxconn Langfang factory has accumulated 37 million units of Xiaomi handsets, this time invited media to visit the factory, including the Xiaomi building, assembly line, and automation production line.
Source suggested that one Xiaomi Mi 4 production line consisted of metal frame forging and stamping, testing of surface mounted components on circuit boards, assembly and manufacture. The manager of the production line said that in terms of the difficulty, metal frame forging and stamping is the hardest part of the manufacturing process, and the Foxconn Langfang factory does it the best.
