TAIPEI, Taiwan — New high-tech fabrication plants are being constructed to expand the manufacturing base of King Yuan Electronics (KYEC). This should satisfy customer demands, ensuring the long-term development of production capacity and sustained customer growth.

According to KYEC, the new high-tech fabrication is located in Tongluo, Miaoli County. However, KYEC's plant has been operating at full capacity since the second quarter, building additional capacity is to satisfy strong demand for LCD driver ICs, MEMS, NFC and other handset chips.

Liu An-xuan, General Manager of KYEC, suggested that if the new high-tech fabrication plants has been operating at full capacity, it will safisfy the coming 4 to 5 years of semiconductor testing demand.

Source said that Maxim, NXP, Skyworks, HiSilicon and Bosch are among KYEC's clients. Relatively, KYEC is one of the IC packaging/testing companies of iPhone 6, the other one is Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE).
