Jonney Shih: ASUS Applies the Design Concept in Making Robots

TAIPEI, Taiwan — ASUS Chairperson Jonney Shih commented that the company is going to apply the design concept in making robot products. On the other hand, he suggested three methods to penetrate the Internet of Things (IoT) market, namely, stickness, word of mouth, and free of charge.

Jonney Shih said that though the Taiwan market is comparably small to the China and US market, finding ways to better the e-commerce and big data crucial, both are the fundamental infrastructures of IoT. ASUS is surely seizing the opportunity in the growing IoT markets with three methods in mind: stickness, word of mouth, and free of charge.
Jonney Shih added that ASUS will roll out robot products based on the concept of design. He also noted that the 3D printing has changed the manufacturing market with the view that it can print out products right away.
