Brazil is the world’s fourth largest PC market, and Acer currently sells notebooks and tablets in the country’s consumer market through retail, Internet and wholesale distribution.
“Less than one third of Brazilian households own a laptop PC, so there is tremendous growth potential in this market,” said Germano Couy, general manager, Acer Brazil,
“We are extremely encouraged with our position as the No. 1 provider of consumer portable PCs, and pleased that our strong product portfolio is resonating and gaining trust with customers in Brazil.”
Acer’s rise to the No. 1 position is the result of its solid relationships with its major customers, strong brand equity, and a notebook portfolio well designed for the Brazilian market. The Acer brand has been present in the market for over 20 years and established a local entity in 2009.
