PixArt Imaging and ITE Tech Eye on IoT

TAIPEI, Taiwan — Taiwanese IC design firms are keeping up with the trend and shifting their focus on the new applications of Internet of Things (IoT) and wearables, PixArt Imaging penetrated the medical use heart rate monitor while ITE Tech's Sensor Hub was certified by Android Wear. Both companies gave a positive reviews on their thriving performance in 2105.

Dennis Lo, General Manager of PixArt's American subsidiary, said that the heart rate monitor is a good start of their health-care product lines, the company is going to announce more applications and solutions in the future.

Besides, the comapny also devoted in developing and making progress in automobile electronics, the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) sensor and algorithm. Solutions of Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and Lane Identification System will be released soon. Meahwhile, the company made a patent application for a automobile monitor and warning system.

ITE Tech's Sensor Hub was certified by Android Wear. Both companies gave a positive reviews on their thriving performance in 2105.

Moreover, the ccHDtv alliance was founded on November 15, 2014 and established by Security and Surveillance Industry of Taiwan, which includes ITE, Vacron, GKB, StarDot, Sunmore, A-Tec, Pacidal, Ubiquity Smart, etc. ccHDtv alliance was started officially on January 1, 2015, and H.Y. Lin, currently ITE's president, is the first Chairperson of ccHDtv alliance.
