Inventec is the main OEM service provider for Xaiomi’s smartphone, produced by its Nanjing factory, can produce about 6 million units per month. Because of the hot sales of Xaiomi’s smartphone, Inventec is considering to expand the capacity of OEM production to about 8 million to 10 million units per month.
In addition, in response to the needs of Xiaomi, Inventec also plan to set up factories in India.
Recently, Inventec began to focus on the software market. Shi-Qing Li said that, Inventec is expected to cooperate with Kingsoft in Dr.eye, a real-time translation software, and will provide cloud storage solutions to Kingsoft, but the details are yet to be discussed.
