Think Locally, Act Globally: CEO of GOCC Inc.

TAIPEI, Taiwan — The Gemini Open Cloud Computing Inc. (GOCC) is the debuted starup of Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), aiming at providing cloud services for enterprises anytime, anywhere, using any devices. The company's CEO Patrick Fu stressed that Taiwanese had better think locally, act globally in order to keep the leading status in semiconductor industry.

“We're confident of the sustained growth of the private cloud market. Our cloud product can enable enterprises to easily move the current applications to the cloud, and provide cloud services anytime, anywhere, using any devices,” said Patrick Fu, CEO of the Gemini Open Cloud Computing Inc.

The primary features include Gemini Iaas for virtualization infrastructure, Gemini PaaS to provision Cloud service, and the Gemini portal to manage the cloud services. Enterprises can expect drastic reduction in time and cost for introducing cloud and enjoying the efficiency and flexibility of cloud without the hassle of changing the current applications.

Patrick stressed that in the coming year, GOCC will foster cooperation with domestic and overseas partners in developing cloud applications in different domains. “We'll also ensure GOCC is compatible with OpenStack and penetrate into the domestic and foreign market.”

“One of our goals is to form a digital distribution platform of cloud computing service same as the concept of iTunes or Google Play.” Patrick added.
