“2015 Computex Taipei” will be held in June. TAITRA has delegated German iF International Forum Design GmbH to administer the “COMPUTEX d&I Awards,” which will continue to attract the attention of foreign and domestic companies.

In addition to the iconic companies that participate in the competition each year, this year products from newly founded companies have also been accepted into the competition, which will make the competition for the prizes even fiercer.

The appraisals for this year’s entries will finish on April 9, and iF will call together six international contenders with the highest rankings, and each of the selected participants will chosen for their excellence in a different domain of design in order to grant awards to the products with the most innovative designs.

The French contest judge Mr. Oliver Molody stated that this year there are more products entered in the competition which are operated using mobile cellphone connections. This reflects the continual flourishing development of products related to IoT, and it is expected that related products will still be in the mainstream next quarter.

However, a judge from England, Mr. Bill Sermon, stated that in this year’s competition, besides having wearable devices with original and mobile integrated functions, the analysis of sensor data will enable users to gain an understanding of their current physical conditions and move towards smarter lifestyles.

The list of award winners for the 2015 COMPUTEX d&I Awards will be announced at the end of April, and the prizes will be awarded at a COMPUTEX international press conference on June 1st. Besides being displayed at the Nangang Exhibition Hall during COMPUTEX, the prize winners will also be displayed around the world after the conference at every major information and communication exhibition event, including CES in the United States, MWC in Spain, CeBIT and IFA in Germany, and GITEX in Dubai.
