China LeTV Launches World’s First Type C Smartphones

TAIPEI, Taiwan - LeTV.com, a China based digital content provider, yesterday released its three new smartphones, all support USB 3.1 Type C interface, which are the first smartphones featuring Type C standard in the world.
LeTV’s new smartphones released in three models, respectively with Sharp 5.5-inch display, 5.5-inch 2K display, and 6.33-inch Sharp 2K screen, equipped with MediaTek Helio X10 octa-core processor or Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.
In addition to launching its new phones, LeTV also announced a new user -eUI.
Ma Lin, vice president of research and development department at LeTV, said that there are too many applications in Android camp to hurt user experience; Apple's closed system has hindered innovation. He noted that video, music and sports are three big domains of LeTV’s eUI ecosystems, which is the only one ecosystem with vertical integration ability.
Seeing on the raising Type C market, in addition to LeTV, other China phone brands are planning to release their new model with Type C standard. According to China media reported, , including Xiaomi, OPPO and one plus are ready to launch Type C smartphone.
