The network comprises some international groups and telecom companies namely Alcatel Lucent、Ericsson、Nokia、NEC、Rohde & Schwarz, Chunghwa Telecom and Far EasTone Telecommunications to make it possible to provide certification and interoperability test for wireless and telecom products as well as VoLTE and Wi-Fi Offload for telecom companies.

Shen Jong-chin, Vice Minister of Economic Affairs, said that setting up 4G+ experimental network is to look forward to reduce the cost and time of the testing process from R&D to end market. The network has served for 12 companies, totaled 28 products, since its trial operation last year.

In order to achieve more comprehensive testing environment, the network will combine with global main internaional telecom equipments to supply for 17 mainstream bands which used in Europe, America and Asia, and three modes of combination network by FDD、TDD、FDD+TDD. In addition, technical testing service, like VoLTE and SDN, is also an ongoing plan to make the experimental network to be further the primary development platform of testing and certification for B4G/5G.
