EPDs Back on Track, E Ink’s August Revenue Grows 29%

TAIPEI, Taiwan - Benefit from the increasing of shipments of new e-readers products, coupled with the stable shipments of smartbands and other wearable devices, Electronic Paper Display(EPD) suppliers E Ink’s Q3 revenue bounced up sharply, its August sales rushed to NT$1.669 billion, 29.08% monthly growth.

E Ink’s revenue was bouncing since June while Amazon launched its the third generation of Kindle Paperwhite e-book reader. The company’s revenue of August washed up to NT$1.669 billion which was a growth of 29.08% compared to the previous month, and the annual growth rate of 16.96%.

Furthermore, E Ink’s electronic tag applications were substantial growth, and spread to logistics and other applications, volume shipments to Japan and China customers. In addition, EPD smartwatches and Smartbands are having some good results, including Lenovo Vibe Band VB 10 and Sony SmartBand Talk SRW30, Fes Watch.
