Taiwan is home to major contract manufacturers of globally branded mobile devices, laptop computers and peripheral products. The international electronics trade show has set “green electronics, smart living” as its theme for 2015 in response to the changing global climate and increased demand for sustainable development.

The electronics manufactures in Taiwan should join forces in providing customers with total solutions, not fight single-handedly when exploring green electronics and smart living. In other words, companies can cooperate in delivering better healthcare, home security, shopping and entertainment experiences, while enhancing people’s overall living environment, the organizer said.

The annual electronics fair, staged by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Taiwan Electronics and Electrical Manufacturers’ Association (TEEMA), is to draw more than 530 exhibitors to showcase their latest products and technologies in 1,000 booths at the Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall 1 from October 6 to 9.

The fair organizers have invited Inventec CEO Richard Lee and ASE Group senior vice president K. C. Chou to participate in seminars targeting smart manufacturing and sustainable supply management in the electronics and electrical industry.

The organizers have also invited the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce, Electronics Industry Development Adelaide, the Consumer Electronics Association, and the International Electrotechnical Commission Quality Assessment System for Electronic Components (IECQ) to attend the show. These 5 bodies represent the global electronics and electrical industry and will lead the cultural exchange about the industry trends and innovations in green technology around the world and the development of sustainable businesses.

Last but not least, investing in India is another unmistakable trend. The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries India-Taipei Association will hold three seminars as follow: “Make in India” Round Table, Investment Opportunities in Electronics Sector in Indian States and Investment Opportunities in Indian Electronics Component Manufacturing Seminar.

The 2015 WEF/AEF will be held the day before the opening of the 2015 TAITRONICS. The theme of the forums will be an exploration of the newest industry trends and new directions for the industry across the globe.
