Taiwan’s PV industry is expected to report a NT$184.8 billion output for 2015. The market has turned sluggish as subsidies are being cut in many countries. However, a survey conducted by SolarPower Europe (formerly known as EPIA) shows that in 2014, solar installations increased significantly in Japan, China and the U.S. Global PV installations exceeded 40GW last year, and is expected to reach 58 GW in 2015, and further grows to 85 GW in five years. The forecast proves that the PV industry still enjoys great momentum for growth.

In view of the prospect that PV will become a major source of renewable energy in the future, PV Taiwan 2015 will feature five theme pavilions of “PV System”, “Equipment & Materials”, “Testing & Certification”, “HCPV” and “Innovative Technology & Products of PV System” to facilitate exchanges among viewers and help them expand connection more precisely and effectively. These pavilions are also designed to help them get hold of the hottest topics in the global market quickly.

Moreover, a survey recently done by the International Energy Agency (IEA) indicated that Asia Pacific has been the largest contributor to global solar photovoltaic installed capacity for two years straight. As the market is gradually shifting its center of gravity to Asia and emerging markets, the PV Taiwan 2015 Forum will focus on themes like market trends, advanced technologies, next-generation PV, efficient energy storage & smart grid, PV standards, PV system & architecture, etc. More than 10 forums and seminars will be arranged for over 55 industry elites and executives to share their insight on market dynamics and technology advances.
