Taiwan D-School Opens to Educate Innovative Talents

TAIPEI, Taiwan - D-School, a new educational institution of National Taiwan University, last week was officially opened. The new institution will set up innovations related courses to educate Taiwan students to have the professional abilities of cooperation and implement.

D-School was founded in September this year, it has opened Thinking of Design, Elderly Welfare science and technology, Global Innovation and Vehicle Design. Currently vehicle design course has cooperated with Hua-chuang Automobile Information Technical Center Co., Ltd. (HAITEC) to allow students to go HAITEC, to personally experience the design of automobile and practical understanding of the functions of car.

Thinking of Design course will in cooperation with the Cosmos Hotel who will provide rooms for students to stay in the hotel, give students opportunities to think and innovate from the user point of view. And the Microsoft will provide training courses to foster innovative interdisciplinary.

Stanley Wang, contributor of D-School and founder of Pantroni, said that can not underestimate the importance of innovation for the whole community, especially SMEs and traditional industry. Small and medium enterprises are the cornerstone of Taiwanese society, they could become a world-class well-known enterprises by doing innovation.

Chen Liang-Ji, NTU Vice President, said that the innovative design is the need of times. In order to allow students to have a better and enrich learning space and resources, D-School will invite well-known professor to join D-School, and encourage students to pursuit the design of social needs and industrial value through interdisciplinary cooperation,. The D-School will also cooperate with enterprises to create a complete ecological chain, increase employment opportunities for students.
