Asus’ Nov. Revenue Hits a Record High

TAIPEI, Taiwan — Asustek Computer Inc. (Asus) announced its consolidated revenue hit a record high in November at NT$47.2 billion dollars. The company’s consolidated revenue grew 22 percent in November from the previous month, and grew 4 percent compared to same period last year.

Asus’ consolidated revenue grew 22 percent in November from the previous month, and reached NT$47.2 billion — the highest number on record for a single month.

According to Asus, the shipment of its laptop, smartphone and motherboard have been enjoy bullish in November. In other words, the fourth quarter of the company is running quite well.

The company’s consolidated revenue in the fourth quarter is expected to grow 10 percent quarterly and reach NT$120 billion dollars, according to institutional investors.

Neverthelss, the company has emerged as the second-most popular mobile phone brand in Malaysia following the launch of its ZenFone series of smartphones. Through improved marketing efforts and a strong sales drive, Asus increased its smartphone market share in Malaysia to between 10 percent and 15 percent this year, ranking second only to South Korea’s Samsung Electronics Co., which holds a 40 percent market share.

Asus predicted that its smartphone market share in Malaysia would further rise to between 20 percent and 25 percent in 2016, when 4G smartphones are expected to become mainstream.
