Jack Tong says HTC is doing its best to build the ecosystem of VR technology

TAIPEI, Taiwan — After touring in the US and Europe successfully, the HTC Vive world tour is finally coming to its homeland — Taiwan on December 15 to January 3 at booth R407 in the Syntrend Creative Park. The company’s North Asia President Jack Tong boasted of the devive’s 360-Degree Solution, remarking that it’s “One-step ahead of other VR device competitors.”

“Since announcing the HTC Vive in March of this year we have focused on developing immersive content, refining both hardware design and user experience, and building relationships with new partners both inside and outside of the gaming industry,” Jack Tong said.

For instance, “People can sing a duet with the deceased pop diva Teresa Teng at KTV with the HTC Vive.” Jack Tong added.

Jack Tong said, “In collaboration with Valve, we have been distributing the HTC Vive Developer Kits to developers and content creators, and are continuing to work with many other innovative companies to create content that spans gaming, entertainment, medical, education and retail.”

Last but not least, HTC Vive Developers Conference will be held on December 17 to 20 in Beijing, China. The device will be able to start accepting pre-orders on February 2016, and will be officially launched on April 2016. The price of the device remained a top secret until now.
