Hon Hai Adjusts Operations in Full-Blown Effort to Develop IoT Enterprises

TAIPEI, Taiwan - According to Taiwan’s Economic Daily News, Hon Hai will this year undergo internal organizational restructuring. After the restructuring, the group will be reduced from 12 to 11 units, and what was originally the Server Business Unit will be integrated into the Telecom and China Netcom Business Unit.

The report cited news from Foxconn supply chain industry insiders and pointed out that Hon Hai’s Server Business Unit will be merged together with their Telecom and China Netcom Business Unit.

This will primarily be done in order to move towards Internet of Things (IoT) and robot industry development, and through merging these internal units, they will concentrate all of their resources on the development of related industries.

Currently, Hon Hai has not yet commented of this news.
