Asus to Introduce Its Robot and VR Products at COMPUTEX 2016

TAIPEI, Taiwan - Asus CEO Jerry Shen said yesterday that in addition to PCs and smartphones, Asus will continue to develop robots and IoTs devices this year. And for the first time to list Augmented Reality(AR) and Virtual Reality(VR) on its product portfolio.

Currently, Asus is working with Oculus, a VR technology provider holded by Facebook. Shen said that the jointly produced VR head-mounted display(HMD) products can be pre-ordered in the U.S., Taiwan and Nederland initially. The results of pre-order was very good so did the VR-supported PC products.
Shen also disclosed that Asus is going to introduce its robot products and next generation model of Zenfone series at COMPUTEX 2016.
As for the mobile-related VR products was scheduled to launch in Q4 of this year.
