Apacer Vying for Cloud and IoT Business Opportunities

TAIPEI, Taiwan - Taiwanese memory solution provider Apacer yesterday announced their business operations outlook for 2016. They pointed out that because cloud and Internet of Things (IoT) have produced massive information storage and application requirements, Apacer wil develop potential applications such as information retrieval, information analysis, information control, and information sharing.

Apacer general manager Zhang Jia-kun stated, “In order to become to become a leading company in integrated technology information services, Apacer will be rooted in core storage technology, focus on vertical applications in the industry, and grasp consumer market trends. Apacer will also develop information storage, retrieval, analysis, control, and sharing services and seize initiatives in cloud and IoT trends.”
As for popular applications, Apacer is optimistic about Internet of Vehicles applications and smart home consumer markets.
For the Internet of Vehicles, Apacer is developing the CANbus communication module and importing Underhill’s robust technology and applications integration to provide storage products with high reliability and high stability.
For smart homes, Apacer Cloud will be the foundation for creating home cloud with matching Gt smart cameras, GT door and window sensors, and Gt smart sockets in order to provide diverse home monitoring and control applications.
Meanwhile, for the consumer market, Apacer will continue to develop niche products to satisfy the special demands of different market and consumer group domains, such as fingerprint protection USB keys and applications for pluggable USB 3.1 Type-C related products.
