Taiwan Hosts VR/AR Gaming Technology Summit to Discuss the Latest Trends

TAIPEI, Taiwan - Taiwan on June 23-25 2016 will host the “Gamera VA/AR Game Development Technology Summit” and have invited over 20 professional lecturers, which include high level personnel from AUTODESK, AMD, CRYTEK, HTC, NVIDIA, RAZER, UNITY, Taiwan iStaging, and ARPLANET, to discuss the newest VR technologies and trends.

Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies are all the rage in 2016. In addition to the announcement of a succession of VR/AR hardware devices, innovative foreign and domestic VR/AR applications are also constantly being developed with VR/AR gaming opportunities leading this new wave of products.

According to the results of a survey conducted by New Zoo Games Marketing, the global output of the gaming industry will reach US$113.3 billion in 2018, and VR/AR gaming will surpass US$10 billion.

This year’s summit will connect international mining games development with new VR/AR technologies and application goals. Lectures covering these topics, technological exchanges, and mixed-media demos will enable Taiwanese entrepreneurs and major international companies to discuss new VR/AR applications.

At the summit companies such as AMD, HTC, MSI, NVIDIA, CRYTEK, and Merlin’s Moustache Lab will showcase a wide variety of VR/AR-related digital content and hardware equipment that integrates software and hardware.
